October Updates

On Oct. 12 our FIRST EVER Community Shared Agriculture program had it’s final pick-up.  It was great to close the biggest chapter of our season, and to start to do some clean-up in our garden.  The lingering veggies in the garden we’ve been freezing, drying, fermenting, and cold-storing for good winter eats.

We’ve certainly been keeping busy in other areas as well-  bringing our ducks in for processing, testing duck recipes, cleaning seed crops, harvesting our FIRST honey, moving some of the fruit and nut trees in our nursery to our backyard in Guelph, and more!  Here are some pictures:

  1. These pictures make me so happy and excited for you guys. I know there have been challenges, but I would call the season a success!!! Can’t wait to meet your own pigs next year!
